What: UK premiere of Dao by He Shaoying - an extraordinarily dramatic and vivid choral work (based on western choral traditions rather than Chinese opera), exploring the basic principles of Daoist philosophy; plus the Global premiere of Love, Friendship & Longing by Nicholas Smith - a choral work set to a cycle of Tang dynasty love poems and inspired by Brahms’ Liebeslieder  waltzes.
